Villainous and Chicken Coop headline North American Finals for $33,500 prize pool

The ESEA Season 57 North American Finals team list has been officially completed as of June 15, 2026, setting the stage for 16 teams to compete in the Counter-Strike 2 tournament.

Villainous and Chicken Coop headline the event, which features a top reported prize pool of $33,500 and two qualification spots for the ESL Challenger League (ECL) Season 52 Cup. The online competition is scheduled to run from June 17 through June 21, 2026.

The final confirmation of the field follows the inclusion of Brahmas and Club 333 on the official team list. These squads are joined by a mix of Advanced, Main, Intermediate, and Open10 division teams in a bracket designed to reward regular-season performance.

For many of these organizations, the finals represent a critical step toward the next generation of gaming at the professional level in North America.

The regional scene remains highly competitive despite broader shifts in the industry, such as how AI is transforming professional roles in other sectors. In Counter-Strike, success still relies on individual mechanics and team coordination. Participants must complete FACEIT verification to maintain eligibility throughout the five-day finals window.

Staggered bracket and divisional hierarchy

The tournament utilizes a tiered start system based on the division each team played in during the regular season. Initially, eight teams from the Open10 and Intermediate divisions will compete in round one. The winners of these opening matches then progress to round two to face four teams qualified from the Main division.

The winners of round two are eventually joined by the Advanced teams for the quarterfinals. This format ensures that teams like Villainous and Chicken Coop, who topped the ESEA Advanced Season 57 upper bracket, face opponents who have already navigated the early stages of the competition. The bracket then plays out as a standard single-elimination tournament.

Main division rosters such as DETONATE and Overtake Sector enter the event with recent experience from the NSTLGA League Season 1 group stage. Meanwhile, the lower divisions feature the “playing for fun” mixteam, which includes veteran players Eric “adreN” Hoag and Peter “ptr” Gurney. These experienced players provide a formidable challenge for newer teams entering via the Open10 division.

Advanced division rosters and qualifying form

Villainous enters the finals with a roster comprising Canadian players DYLAN, Burglar, and Panic, alongside Americans Sunk and Jolts. The team is coached by carbs. Their presence in the finals was secured through their performance in the Advanced division, where they established themselves as one of the leading seeds alongside Chicken Coop.

Chicken Coop reached the finals following a qualification path that included several notable victories. They defeated Olympus 2-0 and secured a 2-1 win over Third Prime, with map scores of 8-13 on Anubis, 13-4 on Overpass, and 13-7 on Inferno. Lead by Evindar “Drop” Isik, the roster also includes REKMEISTER, Crisp, jared, and mds, with darkpsy serving as coach.

Club 333 is another Advanced squad to watch, featuring a diverse lineup including players from Mexico, Venezuela, and Mongolia. During the qualifying stages, Chicken Coop defeated Club 333 with a 2-0 scoreline, taking victories on the maps Inferno and Dust2. Both teams remain contenders as the finals bracket begins on June 17.

Prize pool distribution and participating teams

The winner of the ESEA Season 57 North American Finals will take home a $15,000 first-place prize. The runner-up is set to receive $7,500, while teams finishing in the 3rd and 4th positions will earn $2,000 each. The prize pool extends down to 12th place, with those teams receiving $500 for their participation.

While European teams like M80 have recently prepared for major international play in Cologne, these regional finals serve as the primary proving ground for North American talent. The 16 teams scheduled to compete include a variety of mixes and established regional stacks.
