Late last year, Matchroom Boxing confirmed a new landmark agreement with Rakuten Ticket, Inc. and international company NSN (Never Say Never) to bring a series of major events to Japan from 2024.

This deal will see Matchroom stage three ‘major world-class’ events per year in Japan over the next three years, with all of the events live worldwide on DAZN (outside Asia).

Matchroom To Rekindle Prizefighter Events In Japan

The first three events in Japan are expected to feature a rehash of Matchroom’s Prizefighter series they ran in the UK from 2008 to 2015 for 35 events.

Instead of a single-night competition, it will run over three events in the Middleweight division starting on Saturday, March 30.

Kieron Conway, Mark Dickinson Reportedly Featuring

Per International Boxing News, undefeated prospect Mark Dickinson (6-0, 2 KOs) and Kieron Conway (20-3-1, 5 KOs) are the two British fighters that will make up the lineup.

Dickinson scored an impressive 5th-round TKO win over Grant Denis in his English title eliminator in November whilst Conway stopped Linus Udofia to earn a mandatory shot at the British title one month earlier.

2 Americans and 2 Japanese fighters are also expected to be a part of the tournament.
