Hamza Uddin Next Fight Set For June 22 In Birmingham After Highlight-Reel Debut KO

  • Hamza Uddin scored an impressive knockout in his pro debut in Liverpool
  • The 20-year-old former amateur star is back just four weeks later in Birmingham
  • Manager Sam Jones and Promoter Eddie Hearn have high hopes for Uddin

Former amateur star Hamza Uddin stole the show last night in Liverpool.

The Walsall-born boxer was the final fight on the prelims and didn’t even make the main card but he was at the top of everyone’s tongues after the action concluded.

We rarely see debuts as impressive as Uddin’s and equally unlikely that we witness a Flyweight carrying as much one-punch knockout power as Uddin.

NoSmokeSport broke the news last September that the 8x National Champion had tipped his hat to the unpaid ranks and would switch to the pro game under the guidance of Sam Jones and Eddie Hearn.

Jones and Hearn are two men who are never short of words and they were raving in the aftermath of what was labelled as a special debut.

Hamza Uddin Next Fight On Denny-Cash Undercard

The 20-year-old will have his second professional contest back home in the Midlands on the undercard of the European Middleweight title clash between Tyler Denny and Felix Cash on Saturday, June 22 live on DAZN.

There will be a launch press conference on Thursday for the stacked bill which also features the grudge match between Cameorn Vuong and Jordan Flyn, Shannon Ryan-Emma Dolan and Lewis Crocker-Conah Walker.

Uddin sold around 300 tickets for his debut and hopes to double that number closer to home on June 22 which could help him secure a TV slot.

Although Uddin’s next fight is likely a six-rounder, Jones hopes to move him at a ferocious pace considering his talent and lack of depth in the division.
