Manchester’s AO Arena plays host to an exciting domestic clash between Super-Featherweight rivals Jordan Gill (28-2-1, 9 KOs) and Zelfa Barrett (30-2, 16 KOs) on Saturday, April 13, live on DAZN.

Chatteris’ Gill, a former European and Commonwealth Champion at Featherweight, stunned Irish hero Michael Conlan with a seventh-round stoppage win on away territory at the SSE Arena Belfast last month and immediately called for a World Title shot in his post-fight interview.

Standing in ‘The Thrill’s’ way of a dream World Title shot is Manchester’s former World Title challenger Barrett, and the 30-year-old ‘Brown Flash’ has further World Title aspirations of his own having come up short against Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov for the IBF title in Abu Dhabi.

Gill vs Barrett Undercard

Undefeated world champions Ellie Scotney (8-0) and Segolene Lefebvre (18-0, 1KO) clash in a super bantamweight title unification clash in the co-feature.

Britain’s IBF champion Scotney has improved in every fight, producing a masterful display over Cherneka Johnson to take the title in June, and took a shutout over Laura Soledad Griffa in her first defence three months later.

France’s WBO titleist Lefebvre captured the title in 2021 and has made three defences of her title since, including a majority decision win over Tysie Gallagher last time out.

Warrington’s Rhiannon Dixon (9-0, 1 KO) looks to win her first World Title when she takes on Argentina’s Karen Elizabeth Carabajal (21-1, 3 KOs) for the vacant WBO 135lbs crown.

Dixon had her breakout moment when she stopped the undefeated Vicky Wilkinson to win the Commonwealth strap in Liverpool last March. Six months later, she claimed European honours with a shutout win over Katharina Thanderz.

Following on from the impressive display, she now gets her dream title shot against the once-beaten ex-Katie Taylor opponent, Carabajal.

The Argentine has recorded back-to-back wins since a wide decision loss to the Irish sporting star in Wembley in 2022.

Michael Gomez Jr (20-1, 5 KOs) will defend his English super featherweight championship against Kane Baker (19-10-2, 1 KO).

Gomez Jnr took a controversial decision over Levi Giles to win the English title in Manchester last year. At the weigh-in, Gomez floored Giles which led to him being suspended by the BBBofC.

Baker is coming off back-to-back wars with Jordan Flynn, first over eight rounds at the O2 on the undercard of Anthony Joshua-Jermaine Franklin and then in a ten-rounder in Birmingham last August which ended in a draw.

258-MGT’d Jordan Flynn (9-0, 1 KO) was supposed to face Cameron Vuong in a battle of unbeatens but Vuong has suffered a minor injury and that fight has now been rescheduled for June 22 instead, sources tell NoSmokeSport.

Flynn remains on the card against an undetermined opponent. He is coming off back-to-back wars with Kane Baker, with the first one going his way and the second, an English title eliminator, ending in a draw.

Following on from his US debut in Las Vegas, Jimmy Sains (3-0, 3 KO) looks to keep his knockout streak alive in his first six-rounder and the same goes for Liverpool’s popular Bantamweight Jack Turner (5-0, 5 KOs) who looks to make it six knockouts for six fights.

Super welterweight prospect William Crolla (3-0, 2 KOs) will have his fifth pro fight on the undercard whilst super featherweight Brandon Scott (6-0, 1 KO) makes his second appearance with Matchroom.

Paul Smith-managed Liverpudlian middleweight Stephen Clarke (1-0, 1 KO) will fight for the second time as a pro.
