Denny vs Cash, Crocker vs Walker Planned For Matchroom Fight Card On June 22
- Matchroom will return to Birmingham on June 22 with Denny vs Cash in the main event
- Crocker vs Walker is expected to be in the co-feature alongside other domestic fights

Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing will stage a show on Saturday, June 22 in Birmingham, NoSmokeSport understands.
Tyler Denny’s European title defence against his mandatory challenger Felix Cash – a rare Boxxer vs Matchroom clash is expected to headline the event.
NoSmokeSport reported in February that Matchroom outbid BOXXER €151,300 to €140,000 for the rights to promote the bout at purse bids.
Denny, as the champion, will receive 60% of the winning bid or €90,780 whilst Cash, as the challenger, will pocket €60,520.
Cash was meant to fight for the European title three years ago against Italy’s Matteo Signani – who Denny stopped in November to claim the crown.
The undefeated contender decided instead to challenge for Denzel Bentley’s British belt, a BT Sport main event clash which he won in just three rounds.
At a similar time, Denny was preparing for an away corner role against Derrick Osaze on a Fightzone show. He entered as an underdog and pulled off an upset – the first of a six-fight unbeaten streak.
Cash was dropped twice by Magomed Madiev two years ago in his last significant fight and is now desperately attempting to get some momentum back under new trainer, Adam Booth.
He enters as a narrow favourite against Denny who walks into an opportunity of a lifetime.
Crocker vs Walker on Denny vs Cash Undercard
Should a deal be reached, WBA #5 Conah Walker is also tipped to face hard-hitting Belfast welterweight Lewis Crocker in the co-feature.
Walker pulled off an upset over Cyrus Pattinson in August of last year and then beat the undefeated Llloyd Germain, also by stoppage in January.
Crocker took a wide decision over Tyrone McKenna in December and took out Jose Felix in the first half of the fight just eight weeks later.
Matchroom are building towards a Lewis Crocker vs Paddy Donovan Irish mega fight in Belfast for either later this year or early next year and there are hopes that the contest would be a WBA title eliminator with Crocker expected to take Walker’s ranking should he beat him and Donovan also being ranked by the WBA.
The Cameron Vuong-Jordan Flynn battle of unbeatens will be rescheduled for the show. The pair were supposed to take part in their anticipated grudge match next Saturday but Vuong has suffered a minor injury – as this writer broke earlier this week.
