Jaron Ennis Teams Up with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom For a Multi-Fight Promotional Deal

Eddie Hearn and Matchroom have successfully signed Jaron Ennis, one of the sport’s most promising talents, to a multi-fight promotional deal in collaboration with Boots Promotions. This partnership heralds the return of Ennis (31-0, 28 KOs) to the ring this summer, where he will defend his IBF World Welterweight title for the first time.

Jaron Ennis Joins Matchroom Boxing

Ennis last dazzled fans in July when he defended the interim title by knocking out Roiman Villa in the 10th round in Atlantic City. His journey to this point has been marked by an impressive victory over Karen Chukhadzhian in January 2023 in Washington D.C, which initially earned him the interim title. Following his win against Villa, Ennis extended his unbeaten streak to 31 fights, with a stunning 28 knockouts to his name.

The young champion’s ascent in the boxing world was further solidified in November when he was promoted to champion after Terence Crawford vacated the title. Speaking on his new partnership, Ennis expressed his enthusiasm and determination, stating, “I’m excited for this partnership with Eddie Hearn, Matchroom, and DAZN. I can’t wait to continue making my mark and becoming undisputed World champion. I’ve been out of the ring for a year, and I cannot wait to get back in and do what I do best; entertain the fans and put on clinics. There are blockbuster fights on the horizon for me, and I am ready to deliver them.”

Eddie Hearn Comments on Signing Jaron Ennis

Eddie Hearn, the chairman of Matchroom Sport, shared his excitement about the acquisition, highlighting Ennis’s potential to dominate the sport. “Wow – What a signing! I’ve watched this young man for many years, and I always believed he would become a pound-for-pound great, and I have no doubt he is already the greatest fighter in the division. To win the race to sign Jaron is a massive coup for Matchroom Boxing and DAZN,” said Hearn. He further added, “Holding the IBF title in one of boxing’s glamour divisions places Jaron front and center for some of the biggest fights out there in the sport, and we plan to deliver them for him.”
