Ring Of Honor Results: May 25, 2023
Ring Of Honor is back for the thirteenth episode on HonorClub. Tonight’s show is action-packed with champions such as Claudio Castagnoli, Athena, Zack Sabre Jr and Samoa Joe all competing. Plus, much more including Kyle Fletcher taking on AR Fox and newly crowded New Japan Strong Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale in action.
The main event was Ring Of Honor TV Champion Samoa Joe teaming up with NJPW TV Champion Zack Sabre Jr. taking on Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal. This match came about last week with the stipulation that if Sydal and Daniels won, they’d get a shot at Joe and Zack’s championships.
Daniels and Sydal had a good start, keeping up a decent pace and bringing the fight to the champions. But, despite not liking each other, Sabre and Joe did a good job at keeping their opponents cornered and making quick tags to Isolate the match to their side of the ring.
Sydal and Christopher Daniels started to mount a big comeback toward the end of the match and almost had it won when they hit a double-team finisher on Zack. Yet, somehow, the champion was able to kick out.
Samoa Joe was tagged in and that was the begging of the end. Daniels didn’t know Joe was the legal man and got caught up with Sabre before Joe crushed him with a Urinage and finished Daniels off with the coquina clutch to secure the win for his team.
