The NXT Global Heritage Invitational Tournament has taken place over the last few weeks, all to determine the next challenger for Noam Dar’s NXT Heritage Cup. Butch was the winner in the tournament and, as a result, he got the chance to challenge Dar at No Mercy.

As per the British Rounds Rules that constitute the NXT Heritage Cup, the pair had six three-minute rounds to ensure they left Bakersfield with the cup. To balance the odds, Butch was flanked by his good friend, Tyler Bate.

This was a hard-hitting contest from the opening bell, with Dar and Butch each scoring a point. With the match being anyone’s to take, the desperation began to creep in. The closing moments of the match saw Dar and Butch trade offense before Gallus attacked Bate on the outside.

This caused a distraction for Butch, which allowed Dar to pick up the victory and ultimately remain the NXT Heritage Cup holder.
