NJPW Power Struggle 2023 Sets Up Major Matches
NJPW Power Struggle 2023 has officially come and gone. The event featured three title matches, as well as the Super Junior Tag League finals.
TJP and Francesco Akira won the tournament finals, thus booking a shot to challenge for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 18. All three championship matches on the Power Struggle card saw the titleholders retain gold.
The build to Wrestle Kingdom 18 continues and, at Power Struggle, two major matches were added to the January 4 card. Bryan Danielson challenged Kazuchika Okada to a match and the two are set to meet in singles action, whilst Will Ospreay is set to be in triple threat action against Jon Moxley and David Finlay for a prospective new championship.
