New Matches Added To AEW Full Gear 2023

AEW Full Gear is starting to take shape less than a month away from the Pay-Per-View on November 18th at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California.

Previously, it was already announced that Jay White will challenge for the AEW World Championship against MJF or Kenny Omega, depending on who wins their match this Saturday on AEW Collision. But, MJF will at least be in one match at AEW Full Gear as he has accepted the challenge of Austin and Colten Gunn to defend his ROH Tag Team Championships. Just like at WrestleDream, MJF will defend the ROH Tag Team alone in a handicap match again while his tag team partner Adam Cole is on the shelf with a foot injury that required surgery.

Furthermore, Christian Cage made a challenge for a six man tag team match at the Pay-Per-View with himself, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne against Sting, Darby Allin and a partner of their choice. During AEW Dynamite, Darby and Sting approached Adam Copeland about potentially being their partner, but Adam seemed reluctant and hasn’t given a direct answer yet. So, the partner is still up in the air.

Toni Storm has also made her presence known after Hikaru Shida successfully defended her AEW Women’s Championship on AEW Dynamite against Ruby SoHo. Following the match, it was made official that Toni Storm will challenge for the Women’s Title at AEW Full Gear. As of now, Hikaru Shida is champion but she’s set to defend the belt on Saturday’s AEW Collision against an opponent who will be revealed on Friday’s AEW Rampage.
