Former AEW Champion Jade Cargill Officially Signs With WWE

Former AEW TBS Champion, Jade Cargill, has officially signed with WWE, as first reported by ESPN. The contract is a multi-year one and she begins training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday, September 26.

WWE Makes It Official With Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill is best known for her time in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where she performed from 2020 to 2023. During her time with the promotion, she served as the inaugural AEW TBS Champion, having a reign that spanned 508 days between early Jan 2022 and late May 2023. This remains the longest title reign in AEW’s history.

Cargill attended a WWE tryout in April 2019 but she ultimately signed with AEW. In late November 2020, AEW signed Cargill to a multi-year contract, which seemingly expired in early September 2023. Upon that contract’s expiration, Cargill chose to not re-sign with the promotion and it became popularly believed that the former champion would be heading over to WWE. That has now been confirmed, and Cargill is officially a part of the WWE as of September 26, 2023.

Cargill is set to begin training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida immediately. At present, there is no word on whether, upon completion of training, she will be placed on the main roster or the NXT roster.
