Interesting NXT Name Scheduled For SmackDown

NXT has a growing amount of potential stars that could make a big name for themselves on SmackDown or RAW in the future. In recent times, we’ve seen the likes of Dragon Lee up on the main roster; but it may soon be time for another top NXT talent to make the main roster their permanent home. 

NXT Star Set For SmackDown

Carmelo Hayes was apart of the United States Championship tournament that went down a few weeks back, which ended last week with Kevin Owens winning. But, it looks like Carmelo isn’t done with the main roster. I’m fact, Fightful Select reports that Carmelo Hayes is scheduled to be on tonight’s edition of SmackDown. Not only that, he is set to take on Austin Theory in a match.

Carmelo Hayes is a former champion in NXT and though it isn’t official yet, it seems his time to be a full time main roster member is coming near. Carmelo has been praised by the likes of Triple H and Shawn Michaels for his work in NXT, as well as being a fan favorite who many believe could be a future star for the WWE in years to come. Though he didn’t win the United States Championship tournament, it’s not hard to believe Hayes still has his eyes on the gold, and potentially other champions on the main roster. The former NXT Champion is in a league of his own and he doesn’t miss. So, don’t miss Carmelo Hayes tonight on SmackDown, live on FOX at 8PM ET.
