HOOK To Challenge For Samoa Joe’s AEW Title Next Week

Samoa Joe has been champion for less than three weeks and he already has a line of contenders and potential challengers out of the door. Tonight on AEW Dynamite, a few challengers made their presences known, including one who wants a title shot next week.

HOOK To Challenge Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe was crowned AEW Champion after defeating MJF at the AEW Worlds End Pay-Per-View. After taking a championship vacation last week, Joe returned tonight to show off his new AEW Title, complete with custom Samoa Joe side plates. Suddenly, he was interrupted by Swerve Strickland who made it very clear that he’s coming for the title. Then, Hangman Adam Page made his way out to also declare he’s coming for the world title, which comes off of him beating Claudio Castagnoli earlier tonight. Samoa Joe seemed well beyond okay with taking on both challengers, but someone else stepped up to the plate.

After Hangman and Swerve went to the back, Samoa Joe was about to clear the ring before FTW Champion HOOK made his presence known. HOOK walked down to the ring and immediately got into the face of Samoa Joe, telling him “one week!”, putting Joe on notice before leaving. Moments later, AEW made it official. Next week on AEW Dynamite, Samoa Joe will make his first defense of the AEW World Championship against HOOK, who has one of the best win/loss records in AEW history.

Will Joe continue his reign, or will HOOK end it before it even gets started? We’ll find out next Wednesday at 8PM on TBS on AEW Dynamite.
