CM Punk In Talks With WWE For Potential Return
It appears that CM Punk is in conversation with the WWE regarding a potential return to the promotion, following his release from AEW in early September.
CM Punk And WWE In Talks
CM Punk was released by AEW on September 2, which was the day before the All Out event. Since then, there has been discourse surrounding the potential of Punk returning to the WWE, and it seems that could prove true.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that, although no deal is complete at present, “the two sides are in talks.” Meltzer also reported that despite no word on a signed deal, “it is [Punk’s] intention to return.”
Punk was with the WWE between 2005 and 2014. Following that, Punk attempted a career in mixed martial arts but that was short-lived. Thereafter, Punk was with AEW from 2021 to 2023.
