#3 Merab Dvalishvili faced off against #2 Peter Yan at UFC Las Vegas at the Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Merab started the fight with his usual fast-paced pressure, mixing his stand-up and grappling game nicely against the former champ in Yan. It was a frantic pace with countless sprawls and exchanges, with Yan having to constantly be on the defensive against Merab’s relentless and diverse pressure. In the end, Merab won every round on every scorecard, earning a unanimous decision victory with three 50-45 scorecards.

In the co-main event, #8 Alexander Volkov had a dominant performance over #14 Alexander Romanov resulting in a TKO victory in round 1. Volkov picked up his 10th UFC victory and improved to 36-10 in his professional career. The loss makes it two in a row for Romanov after starting 5-0 in the UFC and he falls to 16-2 in his career.

After being rebooked following the cancellation of their main event matchup in February, Nikita Krylov and Ryan Spann were finally able to match up. It was an absolutely rapid pace to start the fight with both men landing shots on the feet. The fight then became a fast-paced grappling match with both men coming close to submissions and being submitted. Eventually, Krylov locked in a triangle choke in the second round, making it his record 30-9 overall and 11-7 in the UFC. Spann falls to 21-8 and 7-3 in the UFC.
