Featherweight Main Event: #9 Ilia Topuria Def. #5 Josh Emmett Via UD (50-42 50-44 49-45)
Fight Notes: Topuria started the fight patient, while Emmett attempted to push the pace on the younger fighter. Topuria showed an incredible boxing skillset on the feet while mixing in leg kicks. It became clear early on that Topuria was a level above in every aspect of the fight. However, Emmett was never out of the fight due to his fight-ending power and heart. Despite, getting outclassed he never gave up and after almost getting finished in round 4, he rocked Topuria momentarily in the 5th. By the end of the 5 rounds, Ilia Topuria showed he is in the top level of the 145 lbs division and will surely be getting a title shot sooner or later.
Women’s Flyweight Co-Main Event: Maycee Barber Def. Amanda Ribas Via Rd 2 TKO (Punches)
Fight Notes: Incredible performance for Maycee Barber. A well-rounded performance, she showed she is dangerous in the clinch, with brutal elbows. She showed brutal ground and pound when she was on top. While on the feet she was landing punches and ended the night with a head kick that was the start of the end for Ribas. However, Ribas was no easy opponent with both women bloodying the face of one another. However, Barber showed she was a level above with her finishing ability and versatility. The 25-year-old Barber has a very bright future as she will be taking on some of the top names in the division very soon.
Heavyweight: Austen Lane Vs. Justin Tafa NO CONTEST (Eye Poke)
Fight Notes: A brutal eye poke from Lane ends the excitement before it can get going. A very anti-climatic no contest where neither man had enough time to display their talent. Ultimately the correct call, as Tafa’s eye was compromised.
Featherweight: David Onama Def. Gabriel Santos via KO (Punches)
Fight Notes: Incredible uppercut KO for David Onama. Santos proved to be a tricky opponent, showing to be a problem on the canvas, almost securing a couple of submissions. However, Onama stayed locked in throughout the fight and showed great submission defense. His patience paid off with a beautiful highlight finish KO from the right uppercut.
Middleweight: #13 Brendan Allen Def. Bruno Silva Via Rd 1 Sub (Rear Naked Choke)
Fight Notes: What a show of resilience from Brendan Allen. After being rocked early in round 1, he stayed composed despite the Silva onslaught. Eventually finding his right on the chin of Silva, sending him to the canvas. He showed patience with controlled ground and pound, eventually finding the back of Silva where he secured the rear naked choke. Both the durability and finishing ability were on display for Allen who is in for a big fight next.
