In a hard-fought 12 rounds in Ruyadh Saudi Arabia, Oleksandr Usyk beats Tyson Fury in the 11th round to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999, and the first ever from Ukraine.

In the first eight rounds of the fight, it was pretty balanced, with both men picking up rounds as they fought for heavyweight glory. It wasn’t until the ninth round that Oleksandr Usyk forced a standing count on Fury in what many fans believe should have marked the end of the fight. Tyson was out on his feet, unable to regain his footing as Oleksandr Usyk teed off on him, not giving him a moment to rest.

The end of the ninth round came, and Tyson Fury staggered back to his corner but managed to gather himself as he came off his stool for the tenth round. Usyk appeared to “take the round off” in the tenth, possibly due to the amount of energy he expended at the end of the ninth round as he inflicted tremendous damage on Fury.

The eleventh round came around, and Usyk continued to look fairly dominant as Fury managed to stay clear of any moments similar to what he experienced in the ninth. Usyk convincingly won both the eleventh and twelfth rounds, sealing his win over Tyson Fury to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
