BRITISH LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION Sam Noakes will challenge France’s Yvan Mendy for the vacant European title at York Hall atop a Queensberry Promotions show on Saturday, April 20, live on TNT Sports.

Last time out in February, Noakes (13-0, 13 KOs), from Maidstone,  added the British and WBO International titles to the WBC International Silver and Commonwealth honours already in his name with a brutal four-round destruction of the previously unbeaten Lewis Sylvester.

Mendy (48-6-1, 22 KOs) lost his European title against Denys Berinchyk on the Fury-Chisora undercard in 2022 but bounced back with a controversial split decision win over Bastien Ballesta last time out.
