NoSmokeSport.com has learnt that Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing has outbid Ben Shalom’s BOXXER for the rights to promote the ordered European middleweight title fight between Felix Cash and Tyler Denny.

Denny, as the champion, will receive 60% of the winning bid or €90,780 whilst Cash, as the challenger, will pocket €60,520.

Shalom told Boxing News that he was looking to pair Denny-Cash with Ben Whittaker for a Wolverhampton show later this year but now that Matchroom have won the purse bids, it is unclear where the fight will take place.

Tyler Denny vs Felix Cash: An Unexpected Encounter

Cash was meant to fight for the European title three years ago against Italy’s Matteo Signani – who Denny stopped in November to claim the Crown.

The undefeated contender decided instead to challenge for Denzel Bentley’s British belt, a BT Sport main event clash which he won in just three rounds.

At a similar time, Denny was preparing for an away corner role against Derrick Osaze on a Fightzone show. He entered as an underdog and pulled off an upset – the first of a six-fight unbeaten streak.

Cash was dropped twice by Magomed Madiev two years ago in his last significant fight and is now desperately attempting to get some momentum back under new trainer, Adam Booth.

He enters as a narrow favourite against Denny who walks into an opportunity of a lifetime.
