The Backstory behind Wardley-Clarke
Fabio Wardley vs Frazer Clarke Rematch Clause
The Wardley vs Clarke contract has a rematch clause, it was revealed on talkSPORT.
“There’s things in there contractually just to cover certain circumstances,” Wardley said
“There’s a rematch clause covering a specific circumstance. It’s based on the cut under my chin reopening.”
Wardley suffered a cut under his chin after being attacked by a member of David Adeleye’s team in a heated brawl at the launch press conference for their fight.
“If it opens up earlier on, there’s the optional clause of a rematch.”
Clarke was pessimistic about the clause’s purpose, “Make sure in the corner, after he’s taking a few shots they’re not trying to dig at it and open it up,”
