Liam Dillon and Reece Bellotti will clash for the British and Commonwealth Super-Featherweight Titles at Indigo at The O2 in London on Saturday, February 10, shown live worldwide on DAZN.
Watford’s Bellotti (17-5, 14 KOs) is enjoying a three-fight winning streak across 2022 and 2023, with the ‘Bomber’ picking up the vacant Commonwealth Super-Featherweight Title last time out at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool by stopping Aqib Fiaz in eight rounds – the Oldham fighter’s first professional loss.
Chingford’s Dillon (13-0-1, 3 KOs), a former Southern Area and English champion at 130lbs, claimed the vacant British Super-Featherweight Title via an all-action split decision win against Qais Ashfaq in Newcastle last July on a DAZN show – dedicating the career-best win to his late sister Lauren.
The pair clash in a 50-50 domestic thriller and get a surprise chance to top a Matchroom Boxing show after Cyrus Pattinson had to unfortunately withdraw from his scheduled clash with Conah Walker.
Dillon vs Bellotti Fight Card
British light heavyweight Craig Richards (17-3-1, 10 KOs) will have his first fight in almost two years in the Dillon vs Bellotti undercard co-feature over ten rounds against Scotland’s Boris Crighton (12-4, 7 KOs).
Richards hasn’t boxed since a narrow decision loss to Joshua Buatsi in May 2022 at London’s O2 in their WBA eliminator.
Crighton came in as a last-minute replacement to face Lyndon Arthur in March of last year, taking the former IBO champion the full ten-round distance in a very competitive fight.
‘Spider’ gave an interview with NoSmokeSport at the Butsi-Azeez show.
In a battle of undefeated fighters, Shannon Ryan (6-0) faces Jasmina Zapotoczna (6-0) for the WBA International super flyweight title.
Ryan was supposed to challenge Emma Dolan for the British and Commonwealth titles but Dolan has unfortunately had to withdraw from the fight. Ryan-Dolan is expected to be rescheduled for the summer.
Also featuring on the card is a fourth pro-outing for exciting 21-year-old Cameron Vuong (3-0, 2 KOs) who takes on the experienced Ishmael Ellis (14-7) over eight rounds at Lightweight.
Takeley Cruiserweight John Hedges (8-0, 2 KOs) meets Germany’s Erdogan Kadrija (20-5, 12 KOs) over eight rounds.
Heavyweight Emanuel Odiase (1-0) has a second pro fight over six rounds against Amine Boucetta (8-9).
In a battle of unbeatens at lightweight, Ibraheem Sulaimaan (2-0) takes on Jordan Patrick Tomasoni (4-0).
Jack Oliphant debuts against Jensen Irving (4-5) over four rounds at middleweight.
