- Situated in Manchester it is the biggest arena in the UK overtaking the Manchester Arena

The £365,000,000 Co-op Live Arena officially opened last month in Manchester,
It is Britain’s largest indoor arena with a 23,500 capacity, making it bigger than the 21,000 AO Arena in Manchester and the 20,000 O2 Arena in London.
The Co-op Live Arena was funded by Oak View Group (OVG) and City Football Group (CFG), who own Manchester City, in an equal joint venture.
The venue has yet to host either a boxing or a sporting event although UFC 304 will be the first to do the latter on July 27. And Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing hopes to be the first to stage a boxing event there.
Catterall vs Barboza Possible For August 24
Matchroom have a hold on the Co-op live for Saturday, August 24 and were hoping to make the Leigh Wood-Josh Warrington rematch for that date but it appears unlikely that Wood will be ready for August 24 as he is still recovering from injury.
Jack Catterall, who beat Josh Taylor in their massive all-British grudge match last month, may now take that August 24 date at the Co-op live and he could face WBO #1 Arnold Barboza, Hearn told iFL TV.
“We’re speaking to Golden Boy (about Catterall vs Barboza). Frank Smith and Eric Gomez (Golden Boy Promotions – Barboza’s promoter) are talking it through with DAZN. August 24 is a potential date for that fight. We’ve got the new Co-op Arena held in Manchester”
