UFC: Dana White’s Contender Series Season 7 Returns August 8, 2023
Dana White’s Contender Series Season 7 returns tonight, August 8, 2023. The fan favorite show will air live on UFC Fight Pass and ESPN+ at 7PM EST.
DWCS consists of weekly episodes with five fights, where the winners could be offered spots on the UFC roster. The unsigned MMA talent are looking to put on their best performances in front of Dana White himself in order to get that UFC contract. But, just winning won’t get you in. We’ve seen winners not be offered contracts because of boring fights or lackluster performances, so it’s key to do your best and show out in front of the boss to make it as exciting as possible.
Dana White’s Contender Series has been proven to work, with success stories like former light heavyweight champion Jamal Hill, current UFC bantamweight number one contender Sean O’Malley, undefeated Bo Nickal and much more. The show has proven to make stars and now it’s time for the next batch to show out.
On the first week, we have five fights consisting of bantamweights, lightweights, heavyweights, flyweights and a middleweight main event.
Dana White’s Contender Series Fights
Middleweight bout: Cesar Almeida(3-0) vs. Lucas Fernando(9-1)
Lightweight bout: Tom Nolan(5-0) vs. Bogdan Grad(11-0)
Heavyweight bout: Kevin Szaflarski(11-1) vs. Caio Machado(7-1-1)
Bantamweight bout: Payton Talbott(5-0) vs. Reyes Cortez Jr.(7-2)
Flyweight bout: Victor Dias(11-2) vs. Kevin Borjas(8-1)
Out of these five fights, there’s a possibility we could be getting an early look at a future UFC Champion. Who will be next to sign to the UFC?
Dana White’s Contender Series goes down every Tuesday night on ESPN+ & UFC Fight Pass at 7PM EST, and will be followed up by the current season of The Ultimate Fighter featuring Michael Chandler & Conor McGregor at 10PM EST.
