Frank Warren Claims Fury vs Ngannou Is The ‘Biggest Event’ He’s Ever Put On
Veteran boxing promoter, Frank Warren, opened up about the forthcoming Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou fight in a recent interview with iFLTV, claiming it will be the biggest event he’s ever been involved in.
Frank Warren Makes Bold Claim About Fury vs Ngannou
“This is going to be a massive, massive event and the marketing they’ve spent is something that’s going to make your eyes fall out. This is huge. It will be a huge event, the biggest event I’ve ever been involved in,” Warren said.
Warren also addressed Eddie Hearn’s claim that Tyson Fury had turned down the opportunity to fight Oleksandr Usyk, branding it as a blatant lie. “Can somebody show me the offer that Tyson Fury turned down for this fight? Where is it? I’ve never seen it. Where is the offer that he’s turned down? There is no offer made this year,” Warren responded.
The promoter continued by insinuating that Hearn often tends to confuse the public. He pointed out that Fury, like any professional boxer, is motivated by money, which is the prime reason he fights for a living.
Moreover, Frank Warren questioned why Anthony Joshua didn’t seize the opportunity to fight Tyson Fury, given he had been offered a 60-40 deal. “Why didn’t he do it? He’s already been beaten by Usyk twice. We offered him that fight again. It’s Eddie Hearn as usual adding another six inches on his nose,” Warren declared.
The upcoming fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, which is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is attracting substantial attention and debate within the boxing world with many believing it should not be happening. The match’s popularity beyond the boxing community is set to be a real litmus test for crossover fights, according to Warren.
