Skye Nicolson (9-0, 1 KO), who went to the Olympics for Australia in Tokyo 2020, has had a dynamite start to her professional career.

Nicolson has already boxed nine times in less than two years with her most impressive performance coming in her latest fight, where she successfully defended her WBC interim belt with a first career stoppage against Lucy Wildheart.

And now she gets to tick Vegas off her list as Nicolson will appear on a US TV main card for the first time.

It’s a first world title shot for the Aussie star who battles Denmark’s Sarah Mahfoud (14-1, 3 KOs) for the WBC Featherweight championship recently relinquished by Amanda Serrano on Saturday, April 6 at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas in Nevada, USA live on DAZN.

The skilful southpaw will be a heavy favourite against the once-beaten Mahfoud, who previously held the IBF world title – a belt she lost to Serrano in 2022.

Mahfoud’s best win is a successful defence of her title against Nina Meinke. She has built back from her sole defeat with three wins in 2023 and now looks to give Skye Nicolson her toughest test to date.
