Joshua vs Wallin Undercard: Full Lineup For Blockbuster Dec 23 Saudi Show Including Wilder vs Parker
- Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder Return On Dec 23 In Separate Bouts
- The Pair Are Expected To Finally Meet Next Year In A Heavyweight Super Fight
- Joshua vs Wallin Undercard Features Multiple Major World Title Clashes
Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder will be on the same card on December 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia but it won’t be against each other – not for now anyway.
Joshua will face Swedish southpaw Otto Wallin in the main event. The Brit, who has already boxed twice this year against Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius, will take on the man who gave rival Tyson Fury plenty to worry about in their 2019 bout. AJ is teaming up with Ben Davison for this fight
Wallin has scored six wins since his decision loss to Fury, with the biggest coming in September – a split decision over former unified champion Murat Gassiev.
Joshua vs Wallin Undercard
Wilder meets New Zealand’s Joseph Parker in the co-feature. The American hasn’t boxed since he dispatched Helenius in one round last October.
Parker has already fought three times this year, an uninspiring decision win over Jack Massey in January, a first-round KO of Faiga Opelu and a three-round demolition job against Simon Kean last month.
Also on the card, Dmitry Bivol will defend his WBA Light Heavyweight title against the IBO champion Lyndon Arthur. Bivol was supposed to face Richard Rivera but terms could not be agreed in time.
Arthur takes the fight whilst many, notably Joshua Buasti, turned down an opportunity to face who many consider the division #1.
Another division #1, this time at Cruiserweight, Jai Opetaia puts his IBF and Ring Magazine Cruiserweight crown up for grabs against the unbeaten Brit Ellis Zorro. The Aussie knockout out the overmatched Jordan Thompson in his UK debut in September. Zorro, who won the BOXXER series, is largely untested above English title level.
Daniel Dubois, who was stopped by Oleksandr Usyk in nine rounds in August, will face controversial American Jarrell Miller. Miller famously failed multiple tests in his scheduled bout with Joshua more than four years ago.
Cuban southpaw Frank Sanchez will meet New Zealand’s Junior Fa. Fa and Parker provided one of the dullest fights we’ve seen in recent years when they met in Feb 2021 in their domestic collision.
IBF #1 Fillip Hrgovic, who is the mandatory challenger to the winner of the Feb 17 Tyson Fury-Oleksandr Usyk clash, stays busy in a bout with Mark De Mori.
Unbeaten Heavyweights Arslanbek Makhmudov and Agit Kabayel put it all on the line as the pair realise they are just one win away from a life-changing opportunity.
