New Trademark Filed By AEW Hints At New Star Joining The Promotion
AEW has filed a new trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and this could hint at a tag team being reunited.
‘East West Express’ Trademark Filing
On November 27, 2023, AEW filed a trademark that could hint at a tag team reuniting. The trademark in question is ‘East West Express’.
This name might sound familiar to GCW fans, and this is with good reason. Current AEW star, Nick Wayne, was in a tag team with the sensational Jordan Oliver, who remains a force to be reckoned with on the independent scene.
Wayne made his debut in 2018 at a very young age and, at one point, held the GCW Tag Team Championship with Jordan Oliver. Wayne is currently a member of The Patriarchy stable alongside Christian Cage, and he is nicknamed ‘The Prodigy’.
Oliver is best known for his time with Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) and, more recently, was a member of the MLW roster. In late October, Oliver made his final appearance for MLW and was released from his contract, thus making him a free agent.
The filing of the ‘East West Express’ trademark hints at a possible reunion between Wayne and Oliver in AEW.
