Scott D’Amore On CM Punk Possibly Joining TNA

CM Punk is currently a free agent after being let go from All Elite Wrestling earlier this summer. Since then, there’s been tons of speculation about where Punk may end up next, whether that’s WWE or even TNA. Especially after CM Punk was seen backstage several times at IMPACT events over the past few months. TNA President Scott D’Amore spoke about Punk and is certainly open to the possibility of him stepping foot in the company.

CM Punk Joining TNA?

Scott D’Amore sat down for an interview with PWMania. In the interview, he was asked about CM Punk possibly signing to TNA Wrestling and this is what Scott had to say. “It’s not a secret, CM Punk was backstage the day after Bound for Glory. That’s nothing new. He was backstage earlier this year when he was under contract at AEW and they were just getting ready for the debut of Collision, so we have a pretty open policy.” He continued; “If you want to come by and visit, as long as you’re respectful to our crew, you will be respected. He was a pleasure to have when he came around, so is there a possibility he is here in the future, you never know.”

Scott went on; “Is there going to be a place for for veteran talent and senior talent in TNA Wrestling? Of course, you know, the value can’t be understated of good senior veteran talent right now with name recognition and drawability as well. The door is open.”

So, with the door open to CM Punk for an opportunity in the newly revamped TNA Wrestling, will he take it? Only time will tell. But, Punk working for TNA could be huge for the company and bring more eyes to the product than ever before.
