Following the gauntlet match on the March 11 Raw, Sami Zayn will challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40

The main event of the March 11 Raw saw Sami Zayn earn the right to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40. Zayn survived a gauntlet match to earn the opportunity.
Closing out the March 11 Raw was the six-man gauntlet match between Ricochet, JD McDonagh, ‘Big’ Bronson Reed, Shinsuke Nakamura, Chad Gable, and Zayn. Having entered as the fourth entrant of the gauntlet, Zayn came out the victor.
As a result, Zayn will be challenging Gunter for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40. Zayn has held the title three times before in his career and looks to move into the group that has held the gold four times.
By the time WrestleMania rolls around, Gunther’s reign will have passed the 665-day reign, remaining the longest-reigning holder of that title.
