Ronda Rousey Appeared At Lucha VaVOOM, Competes In A Match

Ronda Rousey has stepped back into a wrestling ring, but not in WWE. Ronda made a very rare appearance at an independent wrestling event for the Lucha VaVOOM promotion and ended up competing in a tag team match with good friend and AEW Star, Marina Shafir.

Ronda Rousey Wrestles A Tag Match

On Thursday, October 27th, Lucha VaVOOM held an event at the Mayan Theatre is Los Angeles, California. Ronda Rousey made a surprise appearance at the show, emerging from her front row seat at the event to jump into the ring and team with her long time friend and training partner Marina Shafir. The two faced Taya Valkyrie and Brian Kendrick in a tag team match. Ronda has not wrestled since August 5th, 2023 at SummerSlam where she lost to Shayna Baszler.

Ronda teamed with Shafir to take on Taya Valkyrie and Brian Kendrick at the event and the full match can be seen here. Rousey also uploaded the match in full on her instagram page. This now begs the question if Ronda will continue to wrestle outside of WWE or if this was just a one time thing with a friend, we’ll have to wait and see.
