Ring Of Honor Results – August 18, 2023
Ring Of Honor is back for the twenty fifth episode on HonorClub. Tonight’s show includes Stokely Hathaway teaming up with Samoa Joe to take on The Boys in what’s sure to be entertaining. Plus, Leyla Hirsch takes on Rachael Ellering, Gringo Loco and Gravity go at it in the opener and in the main event, Tony Nese battles Metalik.
Tony Nese seemingly wasn’t prepared for this match until Jerry Lynn told him he’s in action, springing it on him last minute, with Metalik as his opponent.
But, Metalik, the king of the ropes, was on fire from the start using his insane athletic ability to move his way around the ring and frustrate Tony. That was until Ariya Daivari, who was ringside for Nese, got involved and allowed Nese to take control.
Nese was using his power to throw around Metalik and keep him grounded and controlled as he wore him out. But, Metalik started to fight back and had Nese all out of sorts when Metalik hit a huge moonsault to the outside.
Metalik proved why he’s the king of the ropes as he used them to his advantage to bring the offensive to Tony Nese. Nese tried to mount a comeback, but it wasn’t enough. Metalik nailed him with a super kick and followed up with the Metalik Driver for the victory. Metalik stood tall to end the show.
