Ring Of Honor Results: April 27, 2023
Ring Of Honor is back for the ninth episode on HonorClub. Tonight’s show kicks off with ROH Women’s Champion, Athena, in singles action taking on Lady Frost in a proving ground match, plus, Chuck Taylor and Trent of the Best Friends are here in ROH. In the main event, two hot prospects will go at it as Gringo Loco battles Blake Christian one on one.
Gringo Loco has recently wowed ROH fans with his debut last week, and now he’s back and in the main event. But, Blake Christian is no slouch.
Blake and Gringo immediately show off their feats of athleticism, trying to one-up each other with their high-flying offense. Gringo Loco did end up getting the best of the back and forth with a huge dive on the outside.
But, Blake wouldn’t stay down so easily. He neutralized Loco with a spear on the ring apron followed up by a frosbury flop. The speed of Blake was giving his opponent some problems but one pivotal mistake had Gringo taking over.
Gringo Loco wowed the crowd with a flipping facebuster off the top rope that had Blake reeling, but he wouldn’t stay down for the three counts just yet. Gringo tried to take it to the top rope again, but it was one too many times. Blake countered out, hit a Spanish fly, and then followed up with a quick springboard 450 splash to pick up the win. A great showing from both men.
