NXT Deadline Set To Take Place In Bridgeport, Connecticut
NXT is currently in preparation for the No Mercy PLE, which is set to take place in Bakersfield, California on Saturday, September 30. Following that event, it appears that the next PLE that NXT will offer will be the NXT Deadline PLE.
The Deadline event, stylized as ‘DEADL1NE’, made its first appearance in December 2022. That event was hosted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and had then-champion Bron Breakker defending his NXT Championship against Apollo Crews in the main event.
The event makes a return in December 2023, making this the NXT brand’s annual December event and replacing the WarGames PLE. For the 2023 edition, NXT will take this event to Bridgeport, Connecticut. This will be the fifth state that NXT will visit in the busy 2023 year.
Tickets for NXT Deadline go on sale on Friday, October 6 at 10am ET/7am PT. Pre-sale opportunities will be available beginning on Wednesday, October 4 at 10am ET/7am PT.
The NXT Deadline signature match is the Iron Survivor Challenge. In the 2022 edition, Roxanne Perez won the women’s match whilst Grayson Waller was victorious in the men’s. The winners of those matches then went on to be the number one contenders for the NXT Women’s Championship and the NXT Championship respectively.
At present, no matches have been confirmed for the NXT Deadline 2023 event. However, there have been several superstars confirmed to be in action including NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes, Ilja Dragunov, Tiffany Stratton, Roxanne Perez, Bron Breakker, The Family (Tony D’Angelo & Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo), and more.
NXT Deadline will stream live exclusively on Peacock (USA) and WWE Network (rest of the world).
