The Rock is set to induct his grandmother, Lia Maivia, into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024. With her inclusion, Maivia rounds out the 2024 class.

Maivia is a member of the Samoan Dynasty, which includes The Bloodline. Maivia was the wife of “The High Chief” Peter Maivia but, beyond that, she was also one of the first female promoters in pro-wrestling.

Maivia took over Polynesian Pro Wrestling (PPW) in 1982 and produced a card that drew a crowd of over 20,000 in August 1985. The event was titled A Hot Summer Night.

Maivia passed away in 2008 at the age of 77. With her grandson, The Rock, inducting her into the Hall of Fame, she joins other Anoa’i family members such as Rocky Johnson, Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka, ‘The Wild Samoans’ Afa and Sika, as well as Rikishi.
