CM Punk appeared at NXT Deadline on Saturday, December 9 live from Bridgeport, Connecticut. Punk had a scheduled phone call with NXT General Manager, Shawn Michaels, regarding his future brand assignment but, following a missed flight, the two decided to meet in person.
Michaels opened up the show but it did not take long for Punk to make an appearance in-ring soon, and the two shared some words. Although nothing concrete was decided, there was an alluding to the potential of NXT being the brand to acquire Punk’s services.
Instead of a serious business conversation much like his recent with Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce, Punk and Michaels instead opted to share a wholesome moment. Watch the interaction below:
