Sugar Hill Vows Fans Will See More Of A Kronk Style From Lawrence Okolie
Sugar Hill has made a notable promise to fans, that they can expect to see more of a ‘Kronk style’ from Cruiserweight champion Lawrence Okolie this weekend as he throws down the gauntlet against fellow countryman, and former camp mate Chris Billam-Smith. This comes as intriguing news as fans were left seemingly unimpressed in Okolie’s first fight under Sugar Hill just 2 months ago against David Light.
Kronk Gym, a Detroit-based institution, has been a symbol of grit, determination, and explosive power in the world of boxing. The late, great Emanuel Steward, Hill’s uncle and a legendary figure in the sport, built the Kronk style on these principles. As the current torchbearer of this legacy, Hill is set eager to fine-tune Okolie’s fighting style further in this direction.
Lawrence Okolie goes into the Cruiserweight bout still undefeated in 19 fights, with 14 of those coming via a KO ending. Billam-Smith Has 17 wins with 12 ending via KO and just 1 points loss to Richard Riakporhe in 2019.
The fight between Okolie and Billam-Smith takes place this Saturday in Bournemouth, and the full card details can be found here.
