Dana White Promises 300k Bonuses At UFC 300
UFC 300 is this Saturday, April 13 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. If the stakes weren’t high enough for these fighters on the biggest stage yet, Dana White just upped the stakes a lot more after todays press conference.
Dana White Giving UFC 300 Extra Bonus
A media member pointed out to Dana White himself during the press conference that Justin Goethe and Max Holloway, two men fighting each other this weekend, noted at media day that they would love to see the bonus upped for the special event. The bonus for a typical UFC car is 50 thousand dollars for performance and fight of the night. Dana responded by asking how much he should up it to, to which Gaethje said “100k!”. Then, one half of the main event, Jamahal Hill shouted out “300K for UFC 300!”
Suddenly, the fighters and crowd all started backing Jamahal and repeated his 300k sentiment. Dana White quickly shouted “300, it’s done!”. This lit the crowd full of fans and the stage full of fighters all up. Everyone was cheering for this massive bonus announcement and it immediately fired up every fighter.
Bobby Green, Max Holloway, Justin Gaethje, Jim Miller, Jamahal Hill, Diego Lopes, Sodiq Yusuff and Cody Garbrandt all immediately started talking about going for the big knockout finish in order to get that 300k bonus. Max Holloway said his fight was going to be violent, but it’ll be even more violence now that 300k is on the line. Bobby Green said nothing is stopping him from looking for the bonus this weekend and everyone was loving it.
Money motivates all, and an extra 300 thousand dollars on top of their fight contract just may give everyone the fuel to put on one of the most exciting and violent cards in UFC history.
