Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler Set For UFC 303

The fight we’ve all been waiting for is finally here. Conor McGregor is finally back in the octagon and will be taking on Michael Chandler in a highly anticipated bout at UFC 303 in 5 rounds at 170 Pounds.

Conor Mcgregor Returns To UFC 303

UFC 303 is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, June 29th. At the UFC 300 press conference, Dana White announced the Main Event of the show and it’s Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler. This fight has seemingly been in the works for years at this point.

Conor Mcgregor last fought at UFC 264 in 2021 when he suffered a devastating loss to Dustin Poirier via TKO by leg injury. McGregor then went off to have surgery and work on recovering from what seemed to be a career threatening injury. Then, last year, McGregor seemed to be ready when he went head to head against Michael Chandler on The Ultimate Fighter. But, the fight that was supposed to happen, didn’t. Michael Chandler then sat in wait, deciding to sit on the sidelines until he could get Conor McGregor.

Michael Chandler has not fought since UFC 281 in 2022, where he too, lost to Dustin Poirier via Submission. Despite everyone telling him to take a fight, he continued to wait for the McGregor fight and it looks like the waiting has now paid off. Michael Chandler finally gets to have the fight he’s been waiting for.

June 29, 2024, UFC 303, Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler is ON!
