Luke McCormack Pro Debut: Olympian Set For First Fight On March 22 In London

2020 Olympian Luke McCormack has signed a promotional agreement with Frank Warren and Queensberry, it was confirmed last month.

McCormack, who is trained by NoSmokeSport’s 2023 trainer of the year Ben Davison, is a two-time ABA champion and won gold at the European U22 and EU Championships, silver at the European Games, plus bronze at the Commonwealth Games.

The ex-Birtley amateur has struggled to obtain a boxing licence for medical reasons, per reports, but that changed in late 2023 and he is now set for his professional debut.

Luke McCormack Pro Debut On Bourke vs Lane Card

McCormack will debut this Friday, March 22 on the undercard of Chris Bourke-Ashley Lane at the York Hall, London live on TNT Sports.

Journeyman Robin Zamora (21-26) will welcome McCormack to the pro ranks in a contest scheduled for six rounds at the super lightweight limit,

The 28-year-old enters the pro ring with plenty of pedigree from sharing the ring with Andy Cruz to beating title challenger Liam Wilson in the unpaid ranks.

Elsewhere on the card, world-ranked light heavyweight Willy Hutchinson, Heavyweight Moses Itauma and Royston Barney-Smith will be showcased on the prospects show.
