Katie Taylor lost for the first time in her professional career when she battled Chantelle Cameron in their clash of undisputed champions last May.
It was Taylor’s first professional fight in her native Ireland with more than 9,000 fans at the 3 Arena watching Cameron pull off the upset over their national sporting hero.
Taylor got her revenge back in November though with a boxing masterclass over Cameron at the same sold-out arena to become a two-weight undisputed champion.
Katie Taylor Next Fight: Back In Dublin
The Irishwoman will be back in Dublin in the first half of the year.
Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Katie Taylor’s next fight will take place on Saturday, May 25 at Dublin’s 3 Arena live on DAZN.
The hope is to stage a historic trilogy bout with Cameron but there is also the possibility that both fighters take interim fights before their third encounter and therefore Taylor may take care of one of her mandatory commitments.
Cameron is in fact the #1 contender for 3 of Taylor’s super lightweight belts with Sarah Achieng the mandatory challenger for the WBO.
