Eddie Hearn Asked What’s The Hardest Thing He’s Ever Done In His Life
Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou meet this Friday, March 8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia live on DAZN worldwide.
Two guys that have grown up with very humble beginnings. AJ famously turned his life around after narrowly avoiding a custodial sentence.

Ngannou’s story is even more unbelievable. The former UFC champion went from a 9-year-old working in sand mines to the best Heavyweight in MMA.
Eddie Hearn, the promoter of the bout, grew up with a privileged upbringing, unrelatable to some of the other remarkable stories we see in boxing including Friday’s main event participants.
Eddie Hearn Explains Hardest Thing He’s Ever Done
The British promoter was asked by Boxing King Media, “What’s the hardest thing you’ve done in your journey in life?”, and eventually explained his difficult job selling windows.

“One of the best things I’ve ever done was when I used to work in a double glazing company selling windows and I used to do that after school.”
“I’d go down to Weatherseal windows in Romford and I would work from 6 pm-8 pm trying to sell windows, get the sales rep to be able to go in and have appointments to see people. When you’re going through a phonebook and just randomly calling people up to cold call and sell, that is the purest form of sales.”
I would go “Good Afternoon, it’s Eddie Hearn here from Weatherseal windows in Romford, how are you doing tonight?”
“Oh f**king hell what do you want?”
“Listen, we’re in town giving free quotations on your windows and doors, we can look at Aluminium, Wood, PVC or other products on the market. What windows do you have?”
“F**k off, I don’t want to talk to you”
“Listen, sir, you might be having a rough day but I will just say this is a great opportunity for a completely free quotation without obligation to buy. I can send someone around tomorrow, they can meet you or your wife as I said no obligation to buy. Just 10 minutes of your time.”
“I’ve also got f**king new windows”
“Which ones have you got sir? Wood? Aluminium? PVC?”
“I got wood” “That’s a problem sir, I think you need to look at the PVC option”
“I’ve only just got them done”
“Well as I said it’s just a free quotation, no obligation but the wood ones do erode quickly in bad weather. I would suggest you have this meeting, look at the PVC option and potentially we can go from there”
“Oh f**king hell, leave me alone” “What about 12 o’clock tomorrow?”
“Go on, she’s in. You’re in, I’ll see you at 12”
After finding a lead, Hearn would inform his colleagues and his wages would go from £3 an hour to £4 an hour plus a £5 bonus for every lead.
“That’s the hardest form of sales, if you can sell on a phone, you can sell to anybody face to face.”
