Dillian Whyte Rumoured To Return June 10 In London With Multiple Undercard Fights Set

Joshua Whyte 2 Not Next As Dillian Whyte Expected To Return In June?

Following his controversial majority decision win over Jermaine Franklin, who faces Anthony Joshua on April 1, world title challenger Dillian Whyte (29-3, 19 KOs) is expected to return to the ring on June 10 at an undetermined site in London, England with an opponent yet to be confirmed.

The event will be promoted by Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing and will be broadcast on DAZN, on regular subscription. News of the date/ fights was first reported by the independent outlet International Boxing News.

The Brixton heavyweight will look to put in another impressive performance to hopefully land a big-money fight against Joshua later this year. With thousands of tickets still left for Joshua’s bout against Franklin, it is evident he needs a big-name dance partner for later this year and Whyte could be just that.

The long-awaited middleweight contest between Felix Cash and Ammo Williams will be on the card, should both get through their scheduled bouts next month. Cash will face Matteo Signani for the European title whilst Williams will return against River Wilson-Bent in a fight that is yet to be announced.

Cash vs Williams will see two unbeaten top 15 middleweight contenders battle in a mouth-watering, transatlantic 50-50 clash that would put the winner within touching distance of a world title shot.

Nina Hughes will make the first defense of her WBA crown against former world champion Shannon Courtney

Hughes upset Jamie Mitchell, who decisioned Courtney in 2021, last November and hopes a win over ‘The Baby Face Assassin’ will set up a unification with Australia’s IBF champion Ebanie Bridges, who is also represented by Matchroom.
