Boxing Betting Tips – Paul Fury, Matias Ponce And MORE, Where’s The Value In This Weekend’s Fights?

Boxing Betting Tips Ahead Of The Two Cards Taking Place This Weekend

With a relatively quiet weekend in the world of boxing this week, we’ve come up with 3 selections that I believe are great value to cash in on.

Our first selection will be in the IBF Super Lightweight world title fight this Saturday between Subriel Matias and Jeremias Ponce. Although both are hard-hitting, we believe that the price of ⅚ on over 8.5 rounds is great value. Both men have shown recent form going into the later rounds, and this being each other’s best opponent to date. We think it will go into the later rounds.

Next up we have the WBC Cruiserweight title taking place in Saudi Arabia. Ilunga Makabu will defend his title vs Badou Jack. NoSmokeSport believes Makabu to win via KO, TKO, or DQ is of great value at 11/5, is tremendous value. Jack arguably lost his last fight to Richard Rivera and is only getting older. The veteran Sweed is also significantly undersized for Cruiserweight, campaigning most of his career at super middleweight.

Our last selection will be in the biggest and perhaps most controversial fight of the weekend. Paul vs Fury. NSS believes this fight will go the distance, available at a price of 10/11. Both men’s lack of experience going into later rounds will make them wary to fully exert themselves. Also, both men have displayed the lack of ability to land clean, meaning whatever potential KO power they may have, will not be landed frequently.

Selections*

  • Matias vs Ponce over 8.5 rounds. ⅚
  • Makabu to win by KO,TKO, or DQ. 11/5
  • Paul vs Fury to go the distance. 10/11

*all prices taken from Bet 365 at time of writing.
