Bomac Says Errol Spence Is A Good Fighter But Not A Great Fighter

Bomac: Spence Is A Good Fighter But Not A Great Fighter

Errol Spence Jr and Terence Crawford will collide in one of the best matchups in the sport on July 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, live on Showtime Pay-Per-View in the United States.

The clash between the undefeated Americans will crown the first undisputed welterweight champion in the four-belt era and give either Spence or Crawford. arguably the strongest claim to P4P #1.

Many fans believe that two of the P4P top fighters are set to meet in a true 50-50 but Crawford’s trainer Bomac doesn’t believe that Spence is as good as fans and media alike claim.

Bomac On Errol Spence

“No fights,” Bomac answered when asked by ‘Best Women’s Boxing Show Period‘ what performances he’s watched of the Texan that leads him to believe that the unified champion Spence would be a real challenge for WBO champion Crawford.

“The media put him there. They made Spence who Spence is today. PBC put him there, and Showtime put him there.”

McIntyre believes that the hype behind Spence is largely manufactured by the people who represent him and the assessment of him as a P4P top fighter is created by the media rather than a representation of his true ability.

“He’s got a lot of good fights but there’s not one fight that says to me ‘he’s a great fighter’.”

Bomac concluded by reiterating the point that Errol Spence is a good fighter, of course, he has to be to own three belts and beat a list of champions and contenders, but he is not a ‘greater fighter’, he is not a boxer that McIntyre looks at and sees a genuine threat to Crawford.
