Denzel Bentley put domestic rival and former sparring partner Danny Dignum down three times in round two forcing the referee to halt the contest.
With just over a minute left to go in round two, Bentley scored a heavy knockdown with a right hand to the body. Dignum rose at 9.5 seconds into the ten-count but was still feeling the impact of the shot so it came as little surprise when Bentley caught him with the same punch in the same area just seconds later and Dignum went down again.
Bentley went back down to the body but Dignum was covering up tightly so the former British champion focused his work upstairs and managed to connect a powerful right hand. Dignum wanted to get up again but both his corner and the referee were not gonna let him. Bentley TKO-2
Nathaniel Collins vs Francesco Grandelli
Nathaniel Collins beat Francesco Grandelli over 12 rounds to win the European silver featherweight title. Scores 116-112, 117-111 x2.
Collins started the fight very well on the outside using his superior speed and length advantage to dominate the fight. Grandelli had his best moments in rounds 6-8 when he managed to make Collins fight at a closer range which his style of boxing was more accustomed to.
The Scotsman made the necessary adjustments in the last third of the fight to extend his lead and win a convincing decision.
Archie Sharp Dropped TWICE In Return Fight
Archie Sharp was dropped twice in the opening round by Reuquen Cona Facundo Arce.
The Brit, who was formerly the WBO #1 at super featherweight, recovered to score a knockdown in round three and win a 77-73 PTS decision.
