WWE Women’s Championship Triple Threat Set For Fastlane 2023
The September 29 edition of SmackDown has seen an addition to the WWE Fastlane 2023 card. Iyo Sky will make her first PLE title defense against both Charlotte Flair and Asuka in a triple-threat match.
Iyo Sky To Defend WWE Women’s Championship In Triple Threat At Fastlane 2023
Damage CTRL’s Bayley was set to go one-on-one against Charlotte Flair on the September 29 edition of SmackDown. Prior to the match, Flair would make the challenge that, should she defeat Bayley, she would get a title shot against champion Iyo Sky at Fastlane on October 7.
Flair would quickly go on to win the match but Bayley and Sky looked to attack ‘The Queen’ before she could even make it to Fastlane. Asuka soon came to Flair’s rescue before grabbing the mic. Bayley decided to take matters into her own hands and insert ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ into the title match, thus making it a triple threat match.
Sky was not too pleased with this decision by Bayley as her first PLE title defense will be against two powerhouses in the women’s division. Sky will be flanked by Bayley and Dakota Kai, as per usual, but the two can only do so much from outside the ring.
This is only the third match to be confirmed for the Fastlane 2023 card.
