WWE To Host Backlash 2024 PLE In France
WWE has announced that the 2024 Backlash event will take place at the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France.

WWE has announced that the 2024 edition of the Backlash PLE will take place in Lyon, France. This will mark the promotion’s first PLE to take place in the nation.
Backlash France will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024 live from the LDLC Arena. Preceding that, SmackDown the night before will also emanate from the arena.
This comes after speculation and reports that the WWE was looking to bring a PLE to the French nation. This will be the PLE to follow the WWE’s marquee event, WrestleMania 40.
Backlash 2023 took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and the event received widespread praise. That event also went on to become the WWE’s highest-grossing and most-viewed Backlash in the company’s history.
Thus far, no athletes have been confirmed for the event. This becomes the WWE’s third planned international PLE for the 2024 year, following the announcements of the Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia, and Bash in Berlin, set to take place in the German capital.
