WWE Expresses Interest In Signing Will Ospreay

Will Ospreay’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling is coming up and Will is about to be the hottest free agent on the market. Both AEW and IMPACT Wrestling have expressed interest in signing Ospreay, but it seems like WWE is in on the bidding as well.

Fightful Select has reported that WWE has shown heavy interest in Will Ospreay and a source with the company has said that there have been conversations between the two sides, though those close to Ospreay have not confirmed. WWE sources confirm that there is interest and “preliminary overtures” have been made towards Ospreay, though it isn’t confirmed exactly what that consists of, WWE has not commented in an official manner.

Will Ospreay currently works for NJPW, and they’d love to keep him on the roster. He has also made recent appearances on AEW and most r recently, IMPACT Wrestling. Over the weekend, Ospreay tweeted out eye emojis over a picture of WWE World Champion Seth Rollins, to which Rollins replied “the water is warm.”

Many companies are looking to get Will Ospreay under contract, but it’s all up to him when free agency comes. We’ll have to wait and see where he turns up in 2024.
