Seth Rollins And Shinsuke Nakamura To Meet In Last Man Standing Match At WWE Fastlane 2023
Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura’s rematch is a highly anticipated one set to take place at Fastlane on October 7. The pair have agreed to a Last Man Standing stipulation for their match.
Shinsuke Nakamura Chooses Last Man Standing Stipulation Against Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins claimed the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions in late May, becoming the inaugural titleholder. Since then, Rollins has consistently defended the championship being successful against all of his challengers. Most recently, Shinsuke Nakamura was the one to challenge for the title and, although unsuccessful in his quest to attain gold, ‘The King of Strong Style’ refuses to back down from the champion.
Continuously targeting Rollins’ back, Nakamura has antagonized the champion to the point of getting himself a rematch. Proving true to his fighting champion status, ‘The Visionary’ offered to let Nakamura choose when they would meet again, and under what circumstances. Nakamura chose the Fastlane event to get his second challenge, and he picked the Last Man Standing stipulation.
The Last Man Standing stipulation is one of the most taxing in all of professional wrestling, and Nakamura has been in such a match before (against AJ Styles at Money in the Bank 2018). Although the ‘King of Strong Style’ was not victorious in his sole Last Man Standing bout, the 31 minutes Nakamura spent in the match gives him an advantage over Rollins, who has never competed in the stipulation’s match before.
Rollins and Nakamura will meet in their Last Man Standing match at Fastlane on October 7.
