Ring Of Honor Results: June 29, 2023

Ring Of Honor is back for the eighteenth episode on HonorClub. Tonight’s show is packed with action including stars from New Japan Pro Wrestling, including a big six man tag team match with Mogul Embassy taking on New Japan’s Shingo Takagi, Hiromu Takahashi and Bushi. Plus, ROH Champion Claudio Castagnoli is in action against Chuck Taylor and much more.

Claudio Castagnoli takes on Chuck Taylor in the main event. This is a non-title proving ground match, which usually has a time limit, but Claudio said he didn’t need it because if Chuck wants to beat him, he can have all the time to do so.

Quick start as both men trade shots as soon as the bell rings. Chuck is looking to prove that he can be a champion, and especially prove to Claudio that he’s not a walk in the park.

The champion started to take things in a different direction and got a little rough. Claudio took the fight into the crowd and DDT’d Chuck onto a chair, trying to get him counted out but it didn’t work. Chuck started to fight back and had Castagnoli reeling, even getting a near-fall on the champ.

But, Claudio turned things around with a pop-up European uppercut, followed by a Ricola Bomb to end this in quick fashion. Chuck had a little bit of fight in him, but it wasn’t enough. Claudio stands tall to end the show.
